feature film we are planning to make in Fife, subject to the success of our fundraising

Community participants/volunteers will be actively involved in all aspects

The below information was sent to the FIDN office about a film that is being planned

I am contacting you with initial information about a feature film we are
planning to make in Fife, subject to the success of our fundraising.

This is based around stories of the 1926 miner's strike and will be
intergenerational, involving people of all ages, from ex mining communities
in Fife. Theatre Workshop is experienced in involving community participants
in theatre and film, giving people the opportunity to work alongside
professionals whilst developing skills in many areas of theatre/film
making. It is planned that there will be associated activities including a
Gala,concert and photographic exhibition.

Theatre Workshop is an inclusive professional producing theatre and film
company. We employ disabled professional actors in all our productions and
equally this inclusive practice is reflected in our community involvement.

Our last film "Trouble Sleeping", won many awards including BAFTA's and was
shown on BBC.

Community participants/volunteers will be actively involved in all aspects
of the

acting in the film

design and set building

electrics

costume making

camera work

photography

sound

music

research and writing

event organisation

Community participants' involvement in their chosen area(s) of interest will
be possible through:

Initial "taster" workshop programme to confirm participant's particulararea(s) of interest

A period of acting and music rehearsals, set building and costume making/electrics preparation, leading up to the seven week Shoot

I would like to get the word out to disabled people who might be interested
in getting involved.

Look foward to hearing from you.

Muriel, please let me know that you have received this, since our system has
been playing up!
