We find that by meeting together we can share common experiences, lose our feelings of isolation and gain confidence to speak out, which enables us to work with professionals on more equal terms and use our expertise If you would like to know more about the Network, or find out what’s happening in your local area, why not give us a call. Social Model of DisabilityA person is disabled by society. This model re-defines disability as a social construction. It is the social, economic, attitudinal and political barriers to disabled people's independence and inclusion which disables them.
